We are planning to import indian origin goods in india for home consumption in india after payment of duty. My query is if this is allowed in customs.

This is LME (London Metal Exchange Cargo), we are not aware of the history as in when this was shipped out of india to whom etc.However we have purchased this from London Metal Exchange and now are bringing it to india.We will file a fresh import Bills of Entry and pay customs duty on this.
