M.P.VIJAY KUMAR is best. . .
I am also using MP Vijay Kumar and i must say that he is one of the best author for financial-reporting.
Praveen Sharma (ETEN classes) or his textbook
M.P. Vijaykumar is best for Financial Reporting. And also use D.S. Rawat for Accounting Standards.

P.C.Tulsian the best for financial reporting . It comes with accounting standards solution book which will be very helpful the day before exam.
Most of the well known books are equally good. So best way to select among the suggested books on this dicussion page is that you visit a book store. Before visiting, select 2-3 topics you are weak in Financial Reporting and study them briefly. Ask the book seller to show you 2-3 authors book and start reading those topics. Select the book which seems best to you in terms of presentation, language etc.
Not a single book can be said to be fit for all. Hence you have to make your own choice among the suggested books. Best of luck!!
