Can we take the cenvat credit of Service tax on bank charges charged by the bank. if Yes, than Plz provide/guide regarding the format of Certificate issued by the bank for taking cenvat credit of Service tax on bank charges charged by the bank.

Yes, Ypu can claim under Financing . if it is like loan processing . I dont think there is specific format prescribed by Rules. You can prerpare mentioned date and amount of bank charges and servcie tax . In that certificate they have to mention ST no.

Dear Nitish,
You can avail benefit on the basis of Bank Statement also as it separately containing service tax and education cess, Further there is relaxation in case of Banking Sector to issue an invoice and its contents as per proviso to Rule 4A of Service tax Rules.
