what do we mean by
1)NON OPERATING INCOME and OPERATING INCOME
2)NON OPERATING EXPENSES and OPERATING EXPENSES
pl pl can any one explain these 4 terms with examples. i always get confused with them. pl pl

Non Operating Income is income arising from transactions not related to the normal business activities. Eg: Rent earned by a Cloth Trading Company. since renting of property is not its normal business
Operating income is the one that arises from the dily business of the company. eg. income from sale of cloth
Non Op. expenses are those which are not related to the daily business. and op expenses are those related to the daily business. eg. salary, electricity bills etc
