i want to know can the Assessing officer demand for Mat Tax under section 143 &143(1A)???????
Assessee had filed nil return but he was liable to pay MAT,now in Secrutiny AO Asking for MAT U/s 143.so my question is can he demand ???

if the book profits are 18.5% more than the tax computed under income tax then assesee is definetly liable to pay mat and can claim deduction in coming years

but my ques. is that can he demand MAt u/s 143(1).although i know he is liable to Pay Mat on book Profit.
