St payment before registration??

Sir,

we have been charging service tax in the bill (for painting and decorators)since december 12. But we have applied for registration a bit late(29 dec, 12).We are a proprietorship.

I learnt that ,as a proprietorship, we are supposed to deposit service tax by 5th OR 6th of the following month for every quarter.Since we have already collected the service tax in december bills, how do we remit it to govt if registration is not yet done? (since due date is 5th jan already)

any suggestion or solution to this problem will be really appreciated.
