How to study and present theory papers like law and auditing

I have thought of getting 60 marks in both law and auditng in ipcc may2012 but i was awarded only 39in law and 49in auditing so please suggest me any tips for getting better marks in nov.2012

Start the paper with all answers you know perfectly well. Write most answers in point form and give points appropriate headers if possible. Quote SAs IF AND ONLY IF you remember them exactly and UNDERLINE it to show off the fact that u remember them (same applies to section numbers/case laws in Law). Keep all the questions you dont know too well for the last. In Audit, bluff your answers with confidence even if you dont know a word and hv no choice but to attempt them :D coz its likely nobody around you does so the best bluff gets the marks ;) Ideally in Law try n memorize few important sections which u feel r sure of coming n hope tht u get lucky :D

In IPCC, audit questions come mainly from the module/text book so do that well. In final its a whole new story. Irrespective of what u have read, the audit paper is damn general and you hafto rely on ur practical exposure and common sense to pass.

Law is a relief at both IPCC and Final levels as the level and method of studying is the same. Dont look for shortcuts in Law and ideally dont refer to the module(my personal opinion). Go for the fat books like a GK Kapoor(IPCC) or a Munish Bhandari main book(Final) and do them thoroughly. Nothing outside those books could come in your exam.
