Viji
Hi Viji, I had bought Saxena & Vasisht for PE II..At that time, there were two books(dont know how it is now)-one for theory & one for problems. I didnt touch the theory book at all since I found our study material enough. I used only the problems book for solving problems..But many of the problems in that book were relevant only for icwa inter..I skipped all such problems & did only the ones relevant for ca inter. Basically I relied on our study module.

Saxena & Vasisht isnt a book tailor made for CA..It also focuses on ICWA & contains topics not relevant for us(am saying this based on my experience while doing PE 2..dont know whether there is any change in the book now). That may be the reason why some people were telling u that it wasnt suitable for CA inter. But I dont think it is much of a problem. U know the syllabus & the topics relevant for ca inter..So study from Saxena & Vasisht only the topics that are relevant for u. Skip whatever that isnt relevant for ipcc. My personal opinion is that u should first try studying from the ICAI study material. Only at times when u cant grasp things from the institute material,u have to refer Saxena & Vasisht. Also dont listen too much to what others say. If u are able to understand things from Saxena & Vasisht, then it is suitable for u. If u dont understand, then it isnt suitable. Simple as that.

Oh I thought u were an ipcc student & replied accordingly(didnt notice what u had written under ur profile name)..Sorry 4 dat..Dont know that much abt  ICWA inter so as to make a suggestion..but I think this book will suit u.When I read it for pe2, I felt it to be more focused on icwa than ca.

You should focus on ICAI publications.
