How to received the income tax password

Dear Sir,

How to change the password if it's forgotten ?

My client has not any detail who is required for income tax side
follwing bellow:

Enter your secret question and answer which you entered during registration
(OR)
Enter the assessment-year and acknowledgement number of any of the
e-returns filed by you since assessment year .

so which procedure i do that i can received the password my client
.pls suggest me.

Enter the acknowledgement number for any asst.year and change the P/W

He is first time e filling income tax return and No income tax return receipt no.

You can mail the query to ask @ incometaxindia.gov.in or you can contact the ayakar sampark kendra relating your problem

Try with the following password test$123 if you could not get recover your password then mail to the ask @ incometaxindia.gov.in with the full details of the pan holder like name, date of birth, father's name.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU FORGET PASSWORD OF INCOME TAX WEBSITE

If you have forgotten your password for the Login ID that you had created for efiling of Income tax return and to view TDS Credited ( 26AS) in your account. There is a control that you can create only single account with one PAN No. So if you want to activate your account, the only option is to reset the password

First of all if you remember the answer of security question that you had provided during the registration, then you can easily reset password by just clicking the link Forgot password, answering the security question along with the new password that you want to create and your password will be reseated within 24 hours.

The real problem arises when you don’t even remember the answer of the security question that you had given during registration of your account.So, to reset your password what you have to do is to write a mail to ask @ incometaxindia.gov.in with all your details that are mentioned below:-

Name of the Assessee:-

Father’s name of the Assessee:-

Date of birth:-

Address:-

Contact Number:-

PAN No:-

As per the norms of Income tax department your password will be reseated within 24-48 hours.

But if you dont receive any mail that your password has been reseated or about some more details of yours within 48 hours, then you will have to call to 0124 2438000, and speak to the customer care executive and brief him about the mail that you had done, and that the 48 hours have already elapsed but there was no any response for resetting the password from their side, after this you will be provided with the default password by the executive that will be activated in 2-3 working days. After you login with the default password, you must create a new password.

Dear Ajay, Just follow these simple steps and your problem will be solved-

1. Go to site incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

2. Click on LOGIN

3. Enter User id-i.e PAN Card Number

4. Click on "Reset Password" AND TYPE PAN CARD NUMBER AS USER ID.

5.On point "Please select one option" just select "Enter Acknowledgement number"

6. DO not Select any assessment year and do not write any thing on E-Filing Acknowledgement Number. JUST IGNORE IT FULLY. I KNOW EVEN IT IS SHOWN AS MANDATORY FIELD, BUT JUST IGNORE IT.

7. TYPE NEW PASSWORD, RETYPE NEW PASSWORD AND Enter the verification code, ON THEIR PRESCRIBED PLACES.

8. LASTLTY JUST CLICK ON RESET PASSWORD.

9. YOUR PASSWORD WILL BE UPDATED WITHOUT ANY ERROR.

See guys, i just wanted to make u know about this. Me even after repeated calling and talking to the customer care executive and also mailing, there has been no response from the IT Dept. side. Because of this problem 1 of my client have not been able to file its IT Return for the A.Y. 2011-12 even now.
