1)The TDS rate of carriage. it a transporter have up to Two vehicle.
and if more than two Vehicles.
TDS DUE DATE IN MARCH & RETURN.

no need for deduction of tax on transporters if they have a PAN card. You just have to obtain the PAN copy.
otherwise, please deduct 20%

Pls refer Sec 194C(vi) for the above query. No need to make any tds but u should obtain PAN, otherwise it will be @ 20%.

For payment to transporter,no TDS is deducted.
provided PAN is provoded by transporter.
If PAN is not provided,then TDS,20 % charged.

TDS DEDUCTED IN A MONTH IS TO BE DEPOSITED,7TH OF NEXT MONTH OR BEFORE.
BUT DEDUCTED IN MARCH DEPOSITED IS TO BE DEPOSITED 30 APRIL
TDS RETURN FILE, 15TH,OF THE END OF QUARTER.

MR.PRAVEEN SINGH - Its not 15 th April ,rather its 15 may.
No TDS for freight carriage if PAN is available, else deduct at 20%.
