TDS rates for rent machinery, plant and equipment is 2%

TDS rates for rent land, building etc is 10%

TDS to be deducted if rent exceeds Rs. 180,000/- p.a.

No TDS is required to be deducted on service tax component on rental payment.

TDS for rental for property (land and building) is at 10% if the amount payable / paid exceeds Rs.180000 in a single financial year.

TDS for rental for furniture, machinery and plant is at 2% if the amount payable / paid exceeds Rs.180000 in a single financial year

TDS deduct excluding service tax @ 10%

TDS IS 10% (EXCLUDING SERVICE TAX) IF AMOUNT (GROSS) EXCEEDS RS. 180,000...

Dear sir

i have a hotel and i want to give some another to rent so please give me suggestion what is tax liablities applicabe on me ;

Service Tax

TDS

Thanks & Regards

what tds must be deducted on payment of rent of 250000 /-?

well in case of the above

if rental income exceeds 10 lakh p.a. then you will also have to charge service tax on the same and would also have to get urslf a service tax registration(limit 9 lakh p.a.)

as regard to TDS provisions then the payer of the rent is liable to deduct tds in case rent exceeds 180000 P.a.

in case service tax is also applicable then tds will deducted on the amount exclusive of service tax and not inclusive of service tax.
