Derivatives trading by huf

Hi,

I have heard that an HUF can trade in Equities and Mutual Funds, but it cannot trade in derivatives market and speculative trade. I am not find any such notification or guideline which mentions this. Would anyone know about this?

Dear Hemali, there is no such thing...an HUF can deal in derivatives and also enter into speculative trades..
