Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether a two-wheeler purchased after 23rd August 2019 is eligible for the 30% depreciation rate. It clarifies that this rate applies to motorbikes, scooters, and motorcycles, provided they aren't used for hire and meet specific acquisition and usage dates. The conversation also touches upon the definition of 'motor car' within income tax law versus the Motor Vehicles Act.

30% depreciation allowed on Motor car, motor cycle, bike, scooter other than those used in a business of running them on hire, acquired on or after the 23rd day of August, 2019 but before the 1st day of April, 2020 and is put to use before the 1st day of April, 2020.
Is motor car defined in income tax? or motor car as per motor vehicles act is to be considered?
