Dear Members, I have following quries,

1. Applicability of AS 14 on demerger in purchase method?

2. In case of demerger(purchase method) resultant co. may use general reserve and free reserve of demerged co or not?

3. Accounting tereatment in the books of resultant company

1. Yes AS-14 is applicable as AS itself gives this method.

2. Co. can't use GR in purchase method.

3. Its not possible here you can refer book for that.
