My wife has an HDFC saving account and a HDFC Demat account. We are in abroad from last 15 years and she still her saving account is active along with demat account. If we open NRE/NRO account, is it possible to link the demat account with new NRE/NRO account? Or demat account need to disolve first and then open a new demat account?
Please clarify.
Firstly ask bank to convert the saving axxount to NRO account & then link the existing demat account to the same.
