Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether Demat account details are required when filing a new e-return. While the ITR form doesn't explicitly mandate this disclosure, it's advisable to include your Demat account information. The conversation also touches upon identifying the 'participant' as the Depository Participant (broker).

No. Depository participant means broker.
