Section 248 deals with striking off name from ROC.
Fast track exit scheme has been notified by MCA on Apr 05, 2017.
No dormant is not defunct. Companies which are not carrying any operation for last 2 years and do not register themselves as dormant are defunct and entitle to be struck off.
