Last year there were issue and many 139(9) were issued even though there was no defect... and then it was taken back and 143 order was issue... but when we visit View Filed Return we still see Defective mentioned to then particular AY ... and when we click and go inside that year we see order is issued.. but dont know why the system cant be corrected and the word Defective is changed to ITR Processed.

Actually system is not upto date with the demand....... Obsolete software......
Burden of timely payment or compliance is over tax payers not over administrators......

all burden on us.... and we keep doing the compliance but something there is no result :(
even after writting many times and submitting SA TAX Challan of old year still it is not updated and showing as Demand Due. even thought the same is available on Form 26AS... still we dont get credit of it... imagine if Form 26AS was not available then ? which is the case of all years prior to 2009 :(
some clients dues are since 2001... now neither the client has detail nor we can get Form 26AS.. and department system dont even accept the challan copy.. when the officer input this challan detail.. their system says mismatch...
and yesterday one of my client received refund of AY 2010-11 that too after so many followup and it is come without any Interest ... system shows the refund was processed in 2010 itself.. then why refund was not issued till date and why we need to followup for it.. no answer :(
Correct..... many such cases..... no one undertand our difficulties..... One small mistake on our part gets penalized..... but no reply to such genuine demands.......

Till Sep-2016 everything was getting processed timely and correctly without much issues. Suddenly the slowness that is felt from Aug-2017 in processing ITR returns and bringing queries that are so irrelevant is alarming.
I seriously doubt whether the intention at CPC ITR team is right after DeMon.
