You have to ask them whether they have the approval of CIT for the purpose of section 80G. If they have obtained the same, they will have a certificate issued by CIT. Ask the copy of the same. Similarly they will have to put a stamp on the receipt indicating that the donation is eligible for deduction u/s 80G it will alos contain the registration no.
Yes Ravi,i agree with Saurabh Sir..If the institute to which you are making donation is a recognised institute,then you will be eligible for the deduction under Sec-80G of Income Tax Act...
