Decreasing no. of jobs and packages in chartered accountancy

Recently i have heard that the jobs available for inexperienced or i must say new ca's are on a downhill, companies are interested in  recruiting only experienced once. While experienced are able to find good jobs ranging between 6 to12K, a newly passed out CA can barely get a 3to4.5k pacakage which is very disheartning for a student like me.The recent trend is that students who are able to clear their CA final exams have to opt for working for the same firm from where they have pursued their articleship until they gain  3-4 year of experience which is very demoralising for us as we have to struggle 4years to become a CA  and still not able to find a appropriate job.ICAI wil have to ensure us good jobs because that's the only way that can keep our hopes ad spirits alive.

Its not like that. I dont know from where all these rumours come. CA is a very prestigeous course and our institute ICAI is very much serious for the placement of newly qualified CA's. Year by  year the numver of companies comming for recruitment are increasing and so in the number of placed students. If you have a good knowledge both theoretical as well as practical you will definitely fetch a very good job in range of Rs 5-7 lacs per annum. While starting your carrier its not less rather it is very much more when you compared to other courses like S, ICWAI. MBA etc.. For more informaion on placement just go to ICAI website and check all the placement record then you will know tha their s a very big oppportunity to establish yourself very big..

Dear Amit,

I have browsed CMII  portal and compared the statistics.....its not rumour its a fact that CA's are suffering unemployment........pass % of 21 and 16 last year ( around 24000 in no) have cleared and still thousands are jobless....it is very true they are accepting packages of 3.5-4.5......the growth in no of comp is avg.....infact it has comedown from 111 to 75 comp in Aug-sep 2011........Feb-Mar12 is still not available........Only in depth subject knowledge can save us........Even i heard in real sense, value of CA degree is coming down coz we the students are not showing interest in developing subject knowledge.......

and Dear Pranjal

All i can say is mere clearing final is not sufficient. It should be accompanied by good subject knowledge.....

yes my friend. It is reality.. Many fresher are unemployed.

ALL CA want to go for job as practicig is becoming really tough and impossible because of entry of so many MNC, big4 , reducing their fees. Since these are MNC, they have great human resources, get CA at lesser cost.

Industry are taking advantage of CA. They are employing one CA for task of 4 at workplace. Hence unemployment.

It is reality..

See u are student... U come out and see what is happening in ur field,, why.... take good decision ... CA is good course but not as valauble as it would have been 5 -8 years ago..

My friend and aspriring CA.. wake up. It is good u are becoming CA ... ICAI is not builting any platform for CA going into practice..It is diificlut to statr ur own practice if u are employed with CA firms.. they will never allow u to do so...
