Can we show Debit note received from the party as credit note (for us)in GST portal, with the debit note no. and date mentioned on that debit note

No if it is against sale then in term of Section 34 supplier is liable to issue credit/debit note.
Hence in the case if you are supplier then need to issue debit note for the same.
