data structure in Excel format

Can any body guide from where date format in excel format can be obtained.

Select Format - Cells - Number - Select Category = Data.
Check it out in FORMAT - CELLS - in the category u will find date. Else u can create your own date format in custom - just give the fomat in type - use dd for date mm for month and yyyy for year. if you give three mmm it will show month in three letters - so on so forth
RIGHT CLICK->FORMAT CELLS->NUMBER->DATE(fifth item)

alt+o+e is a short cut for format cells or else try this right click on the cell u want to format then there is a option format cells click there is date optin in it or can go to custom (in the end) and write ur own format which u want..apply  and then k
