Hi,

Building a CV is definitely a skill that everyone does not possess. It does not matter if one is an average student, creating a CV is an ongoing process and not an overnight work.

A few things to keep in mind while preparing a CV can be:

  1. Try to mention all your skills and strengths by linking them to an experience that you had in life, which made you realise that you had that skill or strength. Just don’t mention that you are honest or hardworking, connect it to that event in life which shaped that skill or strength.
  2. Be honest. Never lie about anything on the CV. The person assessing your CV has been scanning 100 such CVs in a day maybe. So just mention everything truthfully.
  3. Mention Academic Qualification, Work Experience/Internship in detail, Certifications and Achievements, Technical/Non Technical skills, Interest in the same order and under the same headings.
  4. There is no specific format to the CV though, you can write whatever you like and however you want it till it’s all true and reflects you as a person and your core strengths and skills and experience.
  5. Keep in mind that you have to justify whatever you have mentioned in the CV once you are selected for the Interview.

Remember! Create your own unique CV. Do not just copy anything from Internet. Write what you think and feel about yourself in a formal and smart way!

All the best!
