I would like to know the following: 01. IF I IMPORT SOME (like 10 Nos.) BADMINTON RACKETS OR TENNIS RACKETS, WHAT SHOULD I DO ACCORDING TO THE CUSTOM ACT & RULES BEFORE MAKING PAYMENT TO FOREIGN PARTY. 02. What is I.T.C Licence, is it required? 03. What is I.E.C, is it required? A note of clarification in this regard will be highly appreciated.

if you  wanted to import for ur personal use not for purpose commercial u can import without IEC code as per handbook of procedure and current foreign trade policy.

please noted that For items not mentioned as Prohibited, Restricted or Canalised List for import in ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items; import of such items are freely permitted. There is no need to obtain any license or permission for importing such goods. The ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items contains 99 chapters and in each chapter there are column heading covering Exim Code, items descripttion, policy and nature or restriction. The information related to import policy for any item can be obtained from our site under Customs Duty Calculator Schedule.

Thank you Mr. Vermaji, YES, it is for personal use. But when I am purchasing/paying for my team members, the No.of racket increases (suppose I purchase 5 nos. of rackets for me and for other 4 members of my team), then whether it will be personal or not. For this type of transaction what should I do?
