we have purchased materials from gujarath to andhra pradesh.we have paid cst on such purchases.can i setoff cst paid on purchases with cst payable?

cst can't set off agianst cst paid.
Dear Nagaraju,
No, such set-off is not possible, as CST is levied and retained by the state govt. from whom the goods are originated, i.e. CST would be retained by Gujarat govt. and while making payment for CST for sale made from andhra pradesh, such CST would be retained by Andhra Pradesh Govt... then, why will they allow to set-off such amount?
