Kindly let me know whether a registered company can avail the benefit of set-off against CST payable directly against Input Tax Credit or it should file the return and then claim the credit?

CST liability can be set off from VAT input credit.

YES CST LIABILITY CAN BE SET OFF AGAINST VAT
