Cst applicable at 1 %
Dear All,
Please note that there are few states, where cst @ 1% is chargable against form 'C' to registered dealers. i.e. Uttarakhand.
Kindly advise the reason behind it and how many states in our country actually fall into that category.

Actually applicable rate of CST against C-form would be rate of VAT or 2%, whichever is lower. So I guess in this case, such items are taxed @ 1% for intra-state sales.
