As till now, the CST rate has been reducred from 3% to 2%...................there is no such rate as 1%

I am agree with Ashish that there is no rate of cst @ 1%. The rate of 2% is applicalbe against c form.

CST 1% was applicable from Pondichery, Silvasa, J & K etc. Please clarify from which state/UT you are planning to purchase.

interesting...........!

Please clarify if CST rate with C form is 1% for the material purchased from Pondichery?

Dear Mr Agrawal,

I works in a construction company in Bihar, We Purchase Sheeting Material from Lloyed Insulation Limited  and they Charge only 1% Cst against Form C. i am also confused because on same Material other Parties Charge 2%Cst  in Same State. please Clearify

The CST Rate as follows

1) Sale of interstate without C Form: CST Rate equal to State VAT Rate

2)Sale of Interstate with C Form : 2% CST or State Rate which ever is less

3) If the product is exempted in the state ( VAT is Nil): CST also Nil rate, in that case C form is not required

4) State VAT is 1% : CST Rate also 1% with or without C Form.

Dear Sunilji,

I just want to know 3rd and 4th point. VAT in which state either in purchasers state or sellers state.

Thanks

Mihir doshi

The appropriate state, means Seller state. Deciding factor is State rate on seller state.
