CA CPT JUNE 2014 Question
A Trader followed WDV method of depreciation, the book value of Asset after 4 years is 24% of original cost. Find rate of depreciation.
please solve this :)

The answer given is 30%..

Use this formulae
Rate = 1 – 4th root of(WDV/original cost)
= 1 - 4th root of(24%*original cost/original cost)
= 1 - 4th root of .24
= 1 - .699
= .30 = 30%
