I am planning to take the CPA exam next year. I want to know how much of scope does CPA have in India in the near future, as IndAS is being implemented from April 2015. How much of scope will a freshly qualified CPA have in India. Is it worth taking up this course at this point of time? Please suggest whether I should take up the course or no.

The CPA scope is going to increase exponentially now that the speculation of CPA exams coming to India has been answered. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CPA exams in India will be held only for the months of June and September 2020.
We are hopeful that testing in India will become a reality in the near future and that the period of testing will be extended. Given the international recognition, increasing US-based MNCs in India, the travel cost and other administrative trouble being resolved, we would be looking at a massive increase in scope for years to come.
