I have sold property on 06-Jan-2020. 6 Months Due date for Investing
in Sec 54EC Bonds expired on 06-July-2020. I have invested in these
Bonds on 28-July-2020. Is the date extension upto 30th September
applicable in my case. Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, it's applicable in your case ....
Date extended up to 30th September, 2020 for 54EC investment.
[Notification No.35 /2020/ F. No. 370142/23/2020-TPL]
Thanx. The original notification said that extension was applicable for period expiring between 20-march and 29-June & my expiry was 6-July. This is what has created doubt in my mind.
Yes, original ordinance said that Compliance of Period between 20th March to 29th June can be done up to 30th June.... afterwards by Notification No.35 /2020....this 29th June replaced with 29th September (so it's period 20th March to 29th September) and compliance date Extended to 30th September, 2020

what actually as per my opinion is that as per notification no. 35/2020/F.No.370142/23/2020-TPL dated 24-6-2020 the extension is for only investments relevant to 54 or 54GB not for all since in the notification it is mentioned that  :

"(v) section 54 or 54GB referred to in item (I) of sub-clause (i) of clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Ordinance or sub-clause (ii) of the said clause, the end date in respect of the time limit for the completion or compliance and the end date for making the said completion or compliance, shall be the 29th day of September, 2020 and the 30th day of September, 2020 respectively;"

if the words 54 or 54GB is read with the extended dates 29th day of September, 2020 and the 30th day of September, 2020 respectively makes the confusion since two sections only mentioned and corresponding two dates mentioned and last word respectively. pdf file of the said notification no. 35/2020/F.No.370142/23/2020-TPL dated 24-6-2020 is attached. I short there is some confusion.

Yes, in Notification 35/2020... it's mentioned " section 54 or 54GB"
which was typing mistake, and subsequently rectified by CBDT via Notification No. 39/2020 dated the 29th June, 2020.

Via Notification No.39/2020 the word "section 54 to 54GB" added in place of word "section 54 or 54GB"

So, relaxation is for all sections (54 to 54GB)
