If I sell my house, Can I consider expenses made for frequent repairs, replacement of doors, hardware, alterations, painting, commission for real-estate agent etc towards cost of improvement? For a 16 year old property do I have to produce bills towards these expenses? Or is it okay to show reasonable amounts as expenses considering practical difficulty of retaining very old bills?
