Cost auditor appointment

Cost Audit rules are applicable for my Company from FY 2015-16 ,however due to several other issues management delayed the decision relating to appointment of Cost auditor , now we want to file form for appointment of Cost auditor wherein we will file resolution passed in September meeting , My query is, does this delay can cause any consequences other than late fee, does any form goes to condonation, under new act, I am not able to find any provision for such late filing. please let me know .
