Correction in outstanding tax demand

Hello,

I had received an outstanding tax demand from CPC. I was supposed to reply whether it was correct, partially correct or incorrect. I had already paid the outstanding amount, and so i was supposed to select partially correct; however i selected that the demand is correct. Now is there any way that i can re-submit my response, or remove the outstanding demand.

I don't think you can re-submit your response online. Contact your Jurisdictional Assessing Officer regarding the demand and submit a letter, clearly mentioning the facts of the case with necessary proofs for payment made and request for rectification of the outstanding demand.

Make sure to get an acknowledgement, in your copy of the letter filed with the officer. It shall serve as evidence during the assessment of your case.

I submitted the required form online by using 26 AS so i was supposed to select incorrect; however i selected that the demand is correct. Now is there any way that i can re-submit my response.
