Correction in bill of entry

Please inform us :

1) What is the of the Company and  address mentioned in Airway bill,invoice and other documents of Import ie the address mentioned is of your Pvt. Ltd or Proprietory business

2) Which IEC you had given to Fedex,IEC of your Pvt.Ltd or Proprietory business?

3) From where you have cleared your shipment (which Customs Authorities ie Mumbai Air or Chenneai Air ?

Thanks for reply.

01.Address is same for Pvt. Ltd. & Proprietory company.  work done for both company at same place. Exporter raised invoice on proprietory but , Pvt. Ltd. Company name mentioned in Bill of Entry & AWBL.

02.We have provided IEC copy of propietory company only.

03.Shipment was cleared from Delhi Customs.

please note we have account with FedEx for both companies. and so many shipments cleared by FedEx for us.

As the AWB shows address of your Private Limited IGM should have been filed with Customs showing address of your Pvt. Ltd.Post import amendment of IGM and BE is difficult and expensive however, you can say FedEx that this is your mistake but you should do one thing before saying to FedEx if possible you ask your shipper that which addres they had given to FedEx at load port for preparing AWB if your shipper has made a mistake you may ask them to arrange at load port to change the address and consequetly the change can be made in India through FedEx India at the cost of FedEx.

So far as related to Customs they will issue a certificate showing new address or they may make manual amendment in the Bill of Entry.
