Corporate identification no. now mandatory on bill

Corporate identification now becomes mandatory to quote on invoice, letter heads as per companies act 2013. Anybody can provide me the related notification in this regard and what are other documents on which this number to be quoted????????

Section 12 of the Companies Act, 2013 has been notified, effective from 01.04.2014. Sub-section (3), clause (c), says that,

Every company shall —

(c) get its name, address of its registered office and the Corporate Identity Number along with telephone number, fax number, if any, e-mail and website addresses, if any, printed in all its business letters, billheads, letter papers and in all its notices and other official publications.

-- Section 12 of the Companies Act, 2013 was notified by MCA vide notification dated 26.03.2014.

I would also like to know...

1. What was the comparable provisions in the Old Companies Act

2. What are the consequences( penalties etc...) for a private company if the CIN and email IDs are not disclosed on the documents.

If any default is made in complying with the requirements of this section, the company and every officer who is in default shall be liable to a penalty of one thousand rupees for every day during which the default continues but not exceeding one lakh rupees.
