IF YOU ARE NOT AN empoyee YES YOU CAN

Yes you can take COP if you are working in a ca firm.
If you are qualified ca and member of icai u can apply for cop ....

Thanks for your suggesions

and just now i cleared my CA final and completed my articleship and joined as employee in CA firm

so Can i apply for both i.e for membership and COP

yes but you should not come under payscale of your form

means instead taking a salary you should receive your remuneration as professional consultancy charges,

instead a form16,u have to take form 16a

thanks ganesh but could u tell me what will happen if they enroll me as employee give me salary instaid of consideration under 194J
If u r employee u can hold cop as a part time practicer.... and part time practicer cannot do attesh work like full time ca practicer

If you are an employee in a CA firm, then you can get a COP but you will not be able to do attest work i.e. you won't be able to sign audit reports, certificates etc.

You can ask your boss to pay you as a professional after deduction 10% TDS if you wish to obtain a full time COP.
