I am back, I read so many tims that people searching for coding or function in excel to convert number in INR words
I have uploaded file in IT section excel
35_vinayak.xla
save this file on yur computer and load this addin in ur excel
now type this formula =word(xxxxx)
xxxxx for whatever amount u want to convert like =word(50000) result will be Rupees fifty thousand only

excellent job done by you. it is easy to use.
actually i also downloaded a macro in visual basic from microsoft website which converts numbers in words but in million format . then i modified it in indian format i.e. decimal. but that macro was to be copied and loaded into the macro settings.
yours one is very simple. i tested it very nice.

u just down load that file and save to ur machine and load addin by locating that file
