Conversion from pcc to ipc

I am a PCC student and i I failed in this Nov 2012 attempt. I still have 2 more papers to complete in group 2 of PCC. Now since PCC has been discontinued the only option which i have is to convert to IPC and write those remaining 2 papers. But some of my friends say that to write IPC exams one should have completed 9 months articleship. This 9 months articleship will not include the period of articleship under the previous scheme. Is it true?

I have already completed 3 and half yrs articleship. So do i have to do 9 months articleship once again? sadsurprise

Is it true? It is true that after conversion a student should have completed 9 months of study course/articleship to be eligible for appearing in exams BUT those PCC students who have completed their articleship are already fulfilling this requirement. It was mentioned for those who have not completed earlier for any reason.

Your article training of 3.5 years completed under PCC will be recognised in IPCC and you are eligible for May 2013 exams.
