conversion from old final to new final course

i am nt satisified my performance in ca final(old) 11nd group.i have to write iind group exam in may-11

pl.guide me regarding - is conversion from old to new course is automatic or i have to make an application regarding it.icai will provide modules of new course on application or we have to buy it.

pl.also suggest a ggod book for ISCA ad IDT.

You can write to the ICAI for conversion to new course, along with the fee of Rs 1100/-and study material will be sent to you.

20 Whether a student registered under old scheme can switch over to new

scheme of education and training, which was launched on 13th September, 2006.

Yes, a student registered under old scheme can switch over to new scheme of education

and training by making a remittance of Rs.1100/- to the concerned decentralized regional

office. The study material for Final (New) Course will be provided without any further

payment. .

I assume ICAI will convert as and when you send the form for conversion, irrespective of Nov 2010 result. It (conversion) is normally handled by a different department.

and how to go about these changes for both groups.....
