Consignment sales in Tally

The concern i work is into trading of goods which are partly sent on consignment to different cities in india & partly local sales.

We are using tally 9. I want to learn journal entries of consignment sales using tally.

I request the members of this club to provide me with journal entries using tally along with ledger creation ( groups under which accounts like consignmen a/cs to be taken).

I also want the sales tax treatment of consignment sales.

I referred to b.s.raman & shukla & grewal text books but couldn't do the entries in Tally.

please kindly provide me a solution.

Hi.. Pl refer Tally 9 for the same and it will guide u whole details of JV / VAT / CST including ledger creation and postion and accounts Head .

Sir,

I don't have the tally 9 guide . so can you suggest the steps in the creation of appropriate accounts & the journal entries for the same.

I am referring to consignment accts and not joint venture accts

Dear Mithali,

I think in Tally you may pass a Sales/Purchase entry using the VAT/Tax Classification "Consignment Branch transfer Outwards/Inwards". which will display in VAT compuation and Reports also.

How is sale and purchase accounted in the books of consignee? How is closing stock valued? Please provide the necessary journal entries also? urgent reply needed please?
