My Doubt was that, if I get exemption in a subject or two, in suppose November attempt but do not clear any group, such marks would be carried forward in my next attempt and if i pass both groups in May Attempt (with good marks), would i be eligible for Merit List? Few people told me that if u want to b in merit List u'll have to clear both groups at once without any carried forward exemption marks. Kindly Clarify.

If you want to get your name in merit list, you have to clear all the papers of both groups in one sitting.
And you have to surrender your exemption of all the subjects to the icai.
