Age does not matter, there are many people who are yet to clear CA and are around 28 years of age... Think of it this way, you'll have a professional qualfication that has a reputation and thereafter there is no stopping you. Only thing is make sure you have  a clear plan and finish the course at the earliest. Also, instead of giving  a big gap after ipcc grp-2, you can just try giving one group at a time..or if that is not possible prepare atleast 1 or 2 subjects very well and get exemption in them...that way you can clear early.

I would begin by congratulating you that you have realised the importance of clearing CA. You are proceeding absolutely in the right direction with a clear mind that you will write grp 2 in MAY 2018 and Final in 2020. This is perfect for you because final preparation needs more time alongside job and you have also decided to resign 4 months before exam. When you are going in the right direction why worry and be depressed about future.

Im also a bit struggling to clear final. I have given back to back 10 attempts. For the first time I have decided to skip for one year and relax my mind. In the meanwhile Im doing job in a CA firm and studying LLB also. Getting good work exposure for accounting and tax compliance. 

I have realised clearing CA final will be a turning point. I will soon join a part time job so that I can devote more time to study..Believe me; my friends who have cleared enjoy more recognition and get more opportunities and of course far better salary than what I get. My knowledge skills and work experience always stand subordinate to those who have cleared.

Lets work really hard and add the tag "CA" to our name.

Whoever say its too late to clear CA at 28 or its of no use clearing after 25 etc, give them a home work. Ask them to calculate

CA salary for 60 minus 28 = 32 years and non CA salary for same 32 years. That gives the answer !!

Thanks Ashok J for your kind words. And we will definitely succeed in our CA journey. Actually I have heard from senior CAs that becoming CA after certain age is worthless. But I just want to say them that atleast I will have a prefix CA (though late) before my name for which many people starve to get. I know one of my costing sir who became CA at the age of 35 years when I was pursuing my CA IPCC group 1 classes. What a wornderful achivement he would have felt after becoming CA can be seen on his face at that time. Once again thanks.

I would like to add 1 more point here. Being a CA, you can work in your 60s/70s age group also. Though taking retirement at a particular age say 60, is one's choice , but this is an added advantage. If u are a CA in 60s and willing to work, you can easily get good work in your post-retired life also which is very difficult for a Non-CA.

So, beoming a CA will secure your entire life not just till 60.

Now what is your status, i hope u become CA and working somewhere. Age doesn't matter once u become CA through your hard work and talent you can jump and reach anywhere where u want. Even though who become CA by passing through out not taking right decision and working in KPOs from 10 years not useful in other sectors they can only work in limited areas. This is just an example. Your hard work, talent and decision takes you further in your career.
