whether the condonation letter for delayed submission of Form 108 has to be made in the letter head of the Principal and has to be signed by the Principal...??. Further is it compulsory to give reasons for the delay....??

No, Condonation is to be given by the Artcle. Principal has no connection in condonance of delay in Form 108. Condonation is made by Article Assistant to the ICAI.
Sanesh, Yes, You have to give the Condonation Letter in the Letter Head and get signed by the Principal, whthr the delay is in connection with him or not. And also mentioning the reason. You can also contact to the Institute's Article Section on Contact No:-011-30210600-06, 39893990.

Even i had submitted the condonance on simple page and it was accepted. Make sure the Demand Draft made by you is of appropriate amount as per the delay. Also keep Form 102/103 or Form 107 in case, you have total leaves more than 156 days.
