Quick Summary
If you've received compensation as a tenant, for example, when vacating a factory, and this amount exceeds your deposit and expenses, it needs to be declared in your Income Tax Return (ITR). This extra income should be reported under the 'Income from Other Sources' (IFOS) head. You can also file a revised return if a demand order has been received, provided it's within the permitted time frame.

Any extra amount received over and above deposit, expenses etc, should be declared u/h. IFOS.

Thanks Sir

You are welcome.

Can we file revise return after receiving demand order

Yes. till the time permitted under the act.
