Company wants to get its name struck off

Hello folks

I am here with a situation. There is a private limited company which is not carrying on any business activity. It received a notice from ROC at first instance but no reply was given to that. Again ROC issued a notice under section 560(2) of companies Act 1956 asking "whether the company is in operation?" . If the reply is not given within one month from the date of notice, ROC will struck off companies name from Register of companies.

Now the company itself wants to get its name struck off from the register voluntarily without undergoing the lengthy process of winding up..

What should the company reply to the notice issued under sec 560(2)? What should be the content of the reply?

Suggestions are invited.

Thanks & Regards
