Hi
i am working in an organization .and have already planned to move. i have already served my notice period. now company is asking to sign a document which says i can not join list of companies. list consist the name of the company where i have got offer.
my current company is saying to sign the document else they will not give me relieving. also the copy of document will not be provided to me
Request you to help me . what legal action can i take against it.

This is a very serious matter. I suggest you to read your appointment letter, if there is no such clause then they cannot compel you to do so. I also suggest you to not to sign in any of such documents. Please discuss the matter with your new company as well. They can surely help you in this matter.

Thanks for reply. There is no such clause in my appointment letter. I am not signing the document. but without signing they will not give reliving. can labour court help me in this?
I suggest you to take a consultation of lawyer in the same.
