Are any of you (for those in secretarial depts across companies) taking any special preparations considering that Companies Bill will probably be passed this year and be in effect this time next year? Have you planned how you will include the changes in your department functioning, or do you think it's too early for that?

Ya it might be passed this year. But not to worry sir. Things are more or less same as in Companies Act, 1956. The only thing is, as i consider, that the Companies Bill is giving teeth to the Companies Act which is quite necessary in this corporate world.
Secondly the changes would easily be incorporated at the time of event.
So, as i think there would not be any need of special planning for that as of now.
Dear Ankur,I dont think the things are very similer with Cos Act,1956. specialy if you look at the provisions about recors keeping, public deposits and compliance with the secretarial standards. Howver some clauses must be common in bothe legislation
