Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies which Income Tax Return (ITR) form to file when you have commission income under sections 194C and 194J, alongside salary income. Generally, if the commission is minor and not considered regular business income, you can file ITR 1, declaring it as 'income from other sources'. However, if the commission is substantial and regular, it may be treated as business income, requiring ITR 3.

ITR 3 have to be filled
ITR 1 required to be filed. You can show both Rs. 1200 and Rs. 70 as Income from other source.
So can i file ITR 1 for the same ?
Yes, of course.....
Ok sir, just want to clear tht, some said, if u earn comission income, then it is compulsion to ITR 3
If you earn Commission income, which is material in nature (i.e in amount) and it's regular i.e (to be earned in future years also) like business income than its considered as business income, and you have to file ITR 3 for business income of Commission.

if it's not as per above criteria than you can consider that income as income from other sources and file ITR 1
Okay, got it now , thnks 👍
Most welcome.........
Itr form 3
