There are so many books on the same topic with slightly different title by the same author. Can someone help with the relevant main book for CMA Inter Direct and Indirect tax.

1. Direct Tax - which one is more relevant book by Vinod Singhania for CMA Inter

Students Guide to Income tax or

Direct Taxes Law & Practice

2. Indirect Tax - Which is better for CMA Inter - book by Mohd. Rafi or Vandana Bangar . Pls also mention the relevant title of the book.

For CMA Inter, go for students guide to IT (the other book can be used for Final). For indirect tax, book by Mohd. Rafi is good (have heard even book by Bangar is good).

Many thanks for your suggestion. I am thinking to buy Girish Ahuja & Ravi Gupta's book for Direct taxation as it looks more focused for CMA Inter Direct tax exam. Singhania Student guide to IT covers indirect tax as well. would it be a good decision?
